Can Fabuloso Clean Glass? (Windows, Showers, Cabinets)

Can Fabuloso Clean Glass

Fabuloso is used on most non-porous surfaces in the house, such as floors, showers, toilets, kitchen counters, and even most types of furniture. Can it be used on glass? Can you use it to clean all your windows and glass doors? How much can you use? Find out in the article below.

Can Fabuloso Clean Glass?

Fabuloso can be used to clean glass as it is a multi-purpose cleaner that is meant to be used on hard, non-porous surfaces only. Glass is non-porous in nature and also hard.

As far as scratching is concerned, Fabuloso does not contain abrasives. Glass is usually damaged with hydrofluoric acid, phosphoric acid, and phosphorus acids but Fabuloso does not contain any of these even in non-concentrated amounts. So even the possibility of corroding the glass is eliminated.

If you look around, you will find glass surfaces in the shower, glass cabinet doors, and obviously windows. While cleaning the bathroom and other areas, one does not always need to be lumbered with different types of cleaners.

How To Use Fabuloso to Clean Glass?

Here, we will look at how to clean the different glass surfaces:

Glass Windows

To clean glass windows, follow the steps below:

STEP 1- Get your cleaning materials together. You will need:

  • Water and Fabuloso – ⅛ cup of Fabuloso in a spray bottle of water, or ¼ cup of Fabuloso in a gallon of water
  • Microfiber cloths
  • Clean cloth
  • Window scrubber
  • Squeegee
  • Soft sponge
  • Old towels
  • Old socks or cotton gloves
  • Soft brush
  • Bucket of clean water

STEP 2- Put the old towel on the floor to protect your floor from dirty water that may spill. You can also place an old towel on the window ledge to protect it.

STEP 3- Before cleaning the glass windows, clean the grille and frames. Use a soft brush to dust off the window grille. Then spray Fabuloso on the grille and use the sponge to gently scrub it to remove built-up dirt. You can also use old socks or gloves for the hard-to-reach areas. Finally, use a clean cloth and water to rinse the grille.

STEP 4- Clean the windows from the outside first (make sure they are closed properly to avoid water getting inside). Hose them down to remove built-up dirt. If you start to clean the windows with a window scrubber, the dried-up dirt can scratch the surface of the windows.

STEP 5- Spray the Fabuloso solution on the windows and make sure the entire surface is covered.

STEP 6- Use the window scrubber and start to clean the windows. You can even dip the window scrubber in a bucket of Fabuloso solution if you cannot spray the window.

STEP 7- Use the squeegee from the top left corner (if you are right-handed) and take it across and down to remove the soapy solution. Wipe the squeegee on the cloth to remove the water and repeat until the entire area is wiped. If you are left-handed, start from the right corner of the window and take the squeegee across and down.

If there are any wet marks left, wipe them dry with a microfiber cloth.

STEP 9- To clean the windows on the inside, open the window and spray the Fabuloso solution on it. Cover the entire area.

STEP 10- Using the microfiber cloth, clean the window. If there is still dirt on it, spray, and wipe it again. Keep rinsing the microfiber cloth in clean water to keep it clean. Leave the window open to allow it to air dry.

Instead of using a ladder for higher windows, it is safer to attach the window scrubber and squeegee to a pole to clean the windows.

Shower Door

Shower doors need to be cleaned frequently as water deposits tend to build up. There is also a risk of mold and mildew forming on framed shower doors. To clean shower doors, follow the steps below:

STEP 1- Gather the following items:

  • Fabuloso solution in a spray bottle
  • Soft sponge
  • Microfiber cloth
  • Clean bucket of water

STEP 2- Spray the solution on one side of the door and gently clean the surface using the soft sponge. Repeat, if the stains do not come out the first time.

STEP 3- Take the microfiber cloth, dip it in water and wipe the entire door. Keep rinsing the cloth and wiping the door till all the solution has been rinsed off from the door.

STEP 4- Repeat the above steps to clean the other side of the door.

To avoid the build-up of mineral deposits, always squeegee down the shower door after using the shower. This will also prevent the build-up of mold.

Glass Doors on Cabinets

You may have cabinets with glass doors. These also need to be cleaned to avoid the build-up of dirt and grease.
To clean such doors, take the following steps:

STEP 1- Gather the following:

  • Fabuloso solution in a bucket
  • Soft sponge
  • Microfiber cloth and another old, damp cloth

STEP 2- Wipe down the surface with a damp cloth to remove dust.

STEP 3- Dip the sponge in the Fabuloso solution and gently use it to clean the entire area. For greasy kitchen glass cabinets, use warm water and clean with the sponge a few times to remove the built-up grease.

STEP 4- Wipe the surface with the microfiber cloth to rinse off the residue.

Glass cabinets can be cleaned every 2-3 months.

The Fabuloso scent will linger, leaving the cabinet looking clean and smelling fresh. Fabuloso is safe to use on sealed wooden surfaces.

Tips For Cleaning Glass Surfaces

1- Wash windows on a cloudy day. If you wash windows on a sunny day, they will dry quickly and end up with streak marks. (Source)

2- Avoid making the water too sudsy otherwise a film of residue will build up on the windows.

4- Never use abrasive pads to clean windows and other glass surfaces as they will leave scratch marks.

5- Let the solution sit on the glass surfaces for a few minutes to dissolve the dirt and grime.

6- Clean your shower doors frequently to prevent the build-up of mineral deposits and soap scum.

7- A natural alternative to cleaning solutions is vinegar. It does not leave streaks and is great for removing mold and limescale, especially in shower doors.

8- Never use Fabuloso to clean your glass utensils. Because the residues may be left on the utensils, ingesting these chemicals is a possibility.

Conclusion!

Fabuloso can be used on glass surfaces (just like other non-porous hard surfaces) without scratching or corroding them as the constituent ingredients are not harsh.
