The fragrant multi-purpose cleaner, Fabuloso, comes in a concentrated form. To use it on your surfaces, it must be diluted. How much can you put in a spray bottle? How do you clean using Fabuloso in a spray bottle? Let’s find out!
How Much Fabuloso to be Used in a Spray Bottle?
A standard-sized spray bottle can contain either 16 oz or 32 oz of liquid and the manufacturer of Fabuloso recommends using a quarter cup of this liquid cleaner to be added to a gallon of water. To maintain the same ratio, you would need about 4 fl oz of Fabuloso for a 16 oz spray bottle and 8 fl oz. for a 32 oz spray bottle.
You can use a standard tablespoon to measure this quantity:
- For a 16 oz spray bottle: Use 8 tablespoons (4 fl ounces)
- For a 32 oz spray bottle: Use 16 tablespoons (8 fl ounces)
To avoid the hassle of measuring you can simply pour ⅛ cupful of Fabuloso into the spray bottle and fill it with water. Shake to mix well.
However, if you find the scent too strong, you can use pour less of the Fabuloso into the spray bottle. The ⅛ cupful of Fabuloso is enough to clean any non-porous dirty, grimy surface. To remove grease, you can pour some Fabuloso directly onto a sponge and scrub gently.
How To Spot Clean with Fabuloso in a Spray Bottle
There are some areas you may have to spot clean. This involves targeting and removing stains, rather than cleaning the entire area.
If you need to spot-clean certain areas, gather the following items:
- Spray bottle – Mix water and ⅛ cupful of Fabuloso
- Sponge
- Microfiber cloth
- Gloves
It is best to spray the solution 6-8 inches away from the surface. Also wear gloves to prevent skin irritation.
Spot Cleaning a Wall
Cleaning a wall is difficult as it takes a lot of time and effort. However, you may need to clean specific areas of the wall to keep it looking spotless. Use the following steps:
STEP 1- Spray the water and Fabuloso combination on the areas that have dirt and stains.
STEP 2- Leave it on for up to 5 minutes. This gives it enough time to break up and dissolve dirt & stains.
STEP 3- Now start to Scrub that dirty or stained area gently with a sponge.
STEP 4- Again, use a fresh sponge to clean off the mess from the wall. Be careful not to spread the dissolved stain or dirt on the whole wall. You can either keep wiping in small sections and keep rinsing the sponge alternately or blot the area with this sponge.
STEP 5- Finally, use a damp cloth to wipe the surface clean.
Spot Cleaning the Floor
Mopping does not always remove stubborn stains. Before you mop the floor, do the following:
STEP 1- Spray some Fabuloso on the grime and stains. Allow the solution to remain for a few minutes.
STEP 2- Scrub the spot with a sponge.
STEP 3- Mop the floor as usual, with the Fabuloso solution (¼ cup in a gallon of room temperature water).
Spot Cleaning Other Surfaces
Other surfaces can include sealed wooden furniture, countertops, stainless steel, glass, and other hard non-porous surfaces around the house.
STEP 1- Spray the Fabuloso solution in the dirty/stained spots and let it rest for 2 minutes.
STEP 2- Use the sponge to gently scrub the area.
STEP 3- Wipe off with a damp clean cloth.
Do not use Fabuloso on items and appliances that handle food. Also, spot test on an inconspicuous area first. Do not use Fabuloso to remove stains from carpets and fabrics either.
Although it is a pH-neutral cleaner, long-term use on carpets and fabrics may cause damage to the fibers.
