Can You Use Fabuloso in the Kitchen Sink?
Fabuloso is a multi-purpose cleaner that can clean different types of hard non-porous surfaces in the home including kitchen sinks. Kitchen sinks are usually made of stainless steel and this material is non-porous in nature.
How to Use Fabuloso to Clean Kitchen Sink?
STEP 1- Remove all objects from the sink. Dishes, pans, pots, soaps, cleaners, etc. should be cleared from the sink, to give you better access.
STEP 2- Wet the kitchen sink. Let the sink tap run for a bit and get every part of the sink wet. It makes it easier to be cleaned up and for the cleaner to penetrate the surface. Put the drain hole lid after the water has drained.
STEP 3- Wet the scrubbing pad or sponge by putting it under running water. This gets rid of any dirt particles that may be in an old sponge and prepares the sponge to clean easily. A new sponge needs to go through this too.
STEP 4- If the kitchen sink isn’t too dirty, dilute the Fabuloso cleaner with water. Mix 1/2 cup of Fabuloso with 1/2 cup of water. Then pour the cleaning solution into a spray bottle. If the kitchen sink is very dirty, has rust marks, water deposits, etc. you can use the Fabuloso cleaner undiluted.
STEP 5- Wring excess water from your sponge or scrubbing pad until it is slightly damp. Then spray the Fabuloso solution you made on it. Spray the sponge until it is wet with the solution. If you didn’t dilute the Fabuloso, use its cap to apply some to the sponge.
STEP 6- Spray the diluted/undiluted Fabuloso cleaner all over the sink. Let every part be well covered.
STEP 7- Use the sponge/pad to scrub every part of the sink. Pay attention to corners and edges around the sink’s faucet. If it’s stainless steel, it could have rust marks. You may need a little bit of elbow grease for tough stains and marks. So scrub thoroughly.
STEP 8- Remove the drain hole lid and rinse the sink. Use a bowl to pour water all over the sink or switch the faucet and splash the running water around.
After rinsing the sink, if you still see some stains or you aren’t satisfied with the result, you should spray more Fabuloso and scrub those areas again.
STEP 9- After rinsing, use a soft towel to dry the sink.

Using Fabuloso in a dishwasher is a bad idea. Here are the reasons why you should not use Fabuloso in your dishwasher:
1-Excess Suds
Fabuloso is not a certified dishwasher detergent. It is a multi-surface cleaner for hard non-porous surfaces and is not meant to be used in dishwashers.
Using the wrong type of detergent or cleaner in your dishwasher can damage it. The cleaner may produce excess suds that will push water out of the dishwasher and cause leaks/floods.
Apart from this, Fabuloso may cause some damage to your dishwasher which you may not notice immediately.
There are several dishwasher liquids, powders, and gels that you can choose from. You can even make them yourself.
2- May Cause Health Problems
Fabuloso is a multi-surface cleaner and not safe for consumption. It is not to be used on food contact surfaces like dishes.
Fabuloso contains chemicals/ingredients that can leave residues on your dishes even after you rinse them. These residues can get into your food and you will ingest them while eating. This can be harmful to you. Stick to dish soap or homemade cleaners that won’t cause harm.

Precautions to Be Taken While Using Fabuloso in the Kitchen
1- All dishes, pans, pots, and everything that can come in contact with your food should be cleared away. You don’t want to leave in residues that can harm you.
2- Your cooking ingredients should be well covered. Your cup of salt, seasoning, cream, pepper, etc. should not be exposed, so they don’t get contaminated. Any uncooked food in the kitchen should be removed too.
3- You can clean your kitchen countertops with Fabuloso multi-purpose cleaner, but since that surface sometimes comes in contact with food while cooking, you should ensure there’s no residue left.
Just rinsing it with water won’t do. Instead, use vinegar.
Mix 1 part of vinegar with 1 part of water, and pour into a spray bottle. Spray a soft towel until it is damp, and then spray the counter thoroughly. Use the damp towel to wipe the counter back and forth and then use a clean and dry towel to dry it afterward.
4- Keep your little ones and pets away while using Fabuloso. Fabuloso comes in some scents that can be overwhelming if inhaled. Inhaling this can be more harmful to children and pets. Also, kids like to talk a lot, and while spraying Fabuloso in the kitchen, it can get into their mouths.
You should also store it carefully. To someone unfamiliar with Fabuloso, it can look like a juice bottle. Ensure your kids know what it is and if they are too young to understand, keep it far from them.
